3.14 mi, 28 ft gain, 20:26. Around town, solo. New Balance MR10v2.
I wanted to test out my legs a bit. I felt pretty good at first. I definitely didn’t feel completely recovered. I didn’t have my normal leg speed. It was a good run, anyway, a good test of where my recovery is at.
Average HR 162 bpm.

They moved the DNR gate on this road past the private driveway at the bottom of the hill before the wetland. The property with the driveway is for sale.

4.32 mi, 495 ft gain, 1:28:11. Kltf gate #2, with dogs. Altra Superior 1.5 red #6.
I wanted to see if the Kellogg Lake Tree Farm had reopened yet. The first gate still had the closed for fire danger sign up, so we went to the second gate.
We ran out to Olney creek, where the dogs played in the water a bit. Then we went out partway up the hill, turning right on a side road before the switchback. I wanted to explore the woods off-trail a bit.
Average HR 113 bpm.

10.12 mi, 1780 ft gain, 2:14:30. RR Grade, Greg Ball Trail, Wallace Lake & Return, solo. Altra Superior 1.5 red #5.
The run went fairly well. I started seeing mushrooms partway up the RR Grade. I had some plastic grocery bags with me for just such occasion, and a knife to cut the stems. I got quite a good haul of chanterelles, mostly along the Greg Ball trail, and a few up closer to Wallace Lake. For mostly just 1-3 at a time, it was a great haul. They were quite tasty too.
Average HR 134 bpm.

Weekly Totals: 37.5 mi, 3868 ft elevation gain.
